GB entered the 2009 dance party season this past weekend with the most powerful Tufts Winter Bash yet.  Not quite Back To The Future powerful, but it’s probably best that we leave the fabric of time intact.  For now.

This year’s design was based on a center stage build, affectionately dubbed the “light cube” by Tufts students, because of the shimmering matrix of pure, unadulterated lighting power that graced each side of the tower—  192 par cans to be exact, and that was only the stage.

After adding the signature 21+ pub tent and two truckloads of audio gear, the Gantcher Center had been converted — once again — into the biggest dance club in the Northeast.

With the stage in the middle, that meant the dance floor would extend behind us, and we certainly wouldn’t want to turn our backs on any of our faithful partygoers.

Enter Stefan, the drummer some of you may have seen as part of our Phoenix-based “Desert Impact” project— he’s like the Travis Barker to our AM, only with more clothes on. Thanks to his skills and 2 full drum kits,  we achieved 360-degree “talent coverage,” and added a VERY cool live element to the evening’s soundtrack.

The new year is officially a go.  Let’s do this.
