We LOVE working shows. Especially big ones.

We also love working with MCP (Mass College of Pharmacy), UNE (University of New England), BC, and BU. However, it’s less love-inspiring when they all call up trying to book us on the same weekend. Thats right, they all called upon GrooveBoston for MAJOR shows all within a single 30-hour window. So we put on our logistical thinking caps (they’re orange in case you were wondering), rounded up the troops, and said “Hell yeah, we can handle all four!”

This weekend marked GB’s Mobile Club debut at Amherst College for their “Fall Break Bash” featuring DJ Skribble.

As Skribble– recently dubbed #5 on the list of America’s top DJs– wrapped up his sound check, Springer did something that would go down in Amherst history — he challenged Skribble to a battle. The room fell silent, as nobody was sure what was about to go down. (more…)

When we got the call, we jumped into our DJ boots and slid down the pole to our fleet of Emergency Response Immediate Dance Party Operation Vehicles – or “ERID-POV” for short. Turns out we were taking it a bit too literally, and Emergency was to be the theme for Roger Williams’ first Chameleon Club event for the 2007-2008 year. (more…)
